POOL RULES AND HOURS 2019:
- Pool Access Cards
- Will again be re-using the same cards as last year. Paid in full residents cards will become activate on Sat May 25th at Noon.
- Only 2 cards will be issued per resident/social member.
- Do not open gate for any residents/social members. Pool access card must be used and are being tracked.
- Cards will only work during posted open pool hours.
- $10 per card to replace. Old and lost ones are deactivated.
- Use the gate next to swings to swipe card and enter (NOT the clubhouse).
- If dues have not been paid IN FULL including late fees, cards will not be activated and clubhouse cannot be reserved or rented.
- New residents should contact trustee Kathy S. at kay1496@oh.rr.com for access cards.
- A Forest Park adult resident must be present with all guests. No exceptions.
- FPA social member who signed the waiver must attend with all guests. No exceptions.
- All children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult or a competent swimmer.
- No RUNNING, SPITTING or HORSEPLAY in the pool or clubhouse. Respect for all adults is expected and will be enforced.
- NO GLASS containers are permitted in the pool area or under pavilion. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All trash must be placed in the provided trash cans.
- No tobacco use is permitted in the pool area or clubhouse. This includes smoking and vaping.
- Swimmers must wear a standard swim suit. No thongs are permitted. All incontinent individuals must wear a swim diaper in the pool.
- To swim in the deep end of the pool, the swimmer must be able to swim the length of the pool.
- Inflatable toys, face masks and fins are only permitted in the shallow end of the pool per the lifeguard’s discretion.
- No hard objects (tennis balls, frisbees, etc.) allowed at any time.
- Please do not drag or stand on lounges. Please cover lounges with a towel.
- Lifeguards are in charge of the pool. Any individual who does not follow lifeguards’ rules or policies will be asked to leave the pool area and will be subject to possible deactivation of access cards.
- After playing in the volleyball court, a shower is required before entering the pool.
- Showers are to be used by bathers only. Use of the showers for individual personal hygiene not related to use of the pool is prohibited. Any violation will result in your access card being deactivated.
- Parking for cars is permitted only in the parking lot. Please do not park in the surrounding grass areas or fire lanes. Bikes should be parked in the bike rack.
- According to the State of Ohio, based on the size of FPA’s pool, there can only be an adult swim the last 15 min of the hour when two guards are on duty. If there is one guard on duty, there is no adult swim for the last 15 minutes of the hour.
- Social members – no more than 4 guests.

School days in Aug and Sept. Pool opens at 3:00 pm and closes at 8:00 pm
Labor Day weekend, Noon to 8:00 pm
Pool closes for season on Labor Day, Monday Sept 2nd at 8:00 pm
POOL INFO – ADDITIONAL INFO:
All pool access cards are deactivated at the end of every pool season, the evening of Labor Day and are not activated until Memorial Day weekend. Hastings Water Works lifeguards have been instructed that no one is to be allowed to enter the pool area without their access card. The lifeguards have been further instructed to not enter into any discussion with the resident. If there are any issues with a residents access card, please email Bob Buher at bobb@securitec1.com.
For lost pool access cards, a $10 replacement fee is required for each. Checks are to be made payable to Forest Park Association. Previous cards will be deactivated.
HASTINGS:
Hastings Water Works is seeking lifeguards and lifeguard candidates to help staff pools for the 2019 season. This is for seasonal full or part time employment. They are looking to hire high school and college students, recently retired or stay at home parents. To qualify, candidates must be at least 16 years of age, have the ability to swim 300 yards (12 lengths of a 25 yard swimming pool) and a strong work ethic. Candidates will be trained through the American Red Cross and receive their Lifeguard Certification, leadership, CPR and onsite facility training.
Hastings also offers other benefits to their employees throughout the summer including:
- Variable compensation based on attendance, performance and quality of work, paid out as a bonus (up to $.75 per hour)
- Reimbursement for the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course if the employee works May 25, 2019 through Labor Day weekend (September 2, 2019)
